How To Obtain an Annulment of a Reno Marriage

Got married in Reno (or elsewhere in Nevada) in the fairly recent past?

Perhaps under less than ideal conditions? Are you wondering how to end this Nevada marriage so you can move beyond this mistake?

As per Nevada Statutes, you are eligible to file an annulment in Nevada without being a Nevada resident because you were married here.

Since 1985, Attorney James E. Smith has helped countless people out of Nevada marriage mistakes and on with their lives.

TIMELY PROFESSIONAL – GRANTED IN 4 DAYS!

This attorney handled my annulment in a timely, professional, and maybe most importantly, thoughtful manner. Being able to consult with an attorney for the same price I would have had to pay for a paralegal was a great relief and they took the necessary time to make sure everything was perfect before submitting my paperwork at court. After submission,my annulment was granted in 4 days! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

STEPS TO ANNUL A  RENO  MARRIAGE:

STEP 1 :
Complete your secure Annulment Questionnaire Here (safe server – same technology used by your bank).

Just so you know, a Reno annulment is the same as a Las Vegas or Nevada annulment. All these terms are used interchangeable and essentially mean the same thing; in the end, you have a final Decree of Annulment granted by a Nevada Court. We file in the most appropriate jurisdiction for your particular type of  annulment case.

STEP 2:
The ready-to-sign annulment forms will be emailed to you within 24 hours.

STEP 3:
You print the documents, take them to a notary to sign them. You send the documents to our Reno office.

STEP 4:
Once we receive the documents back from you and signed and notarized, your annulment will be filed at court and processed through the Nevada Family Court System.Your Reno annulment is granted on average one to three weeks later (when both parties sign). If only one party signs the annulment documents, and provided the Defendant does not contest the annulment, your Reno annulment will be granted in about 12-16 weeks. The exact length of time depends on whether the Defendant can be served personally or must be served by publication, and also the pace at which your judge grants annulments.

THE FINAL STEP :
We e-mail the final Decree of Annulment to you as soon as it becomes available to us.
Additional facts to know:
You are considered a Nevada resident after living in Nevada for six consecutive weeks.

** Court Filing Fees (currently $326 for a Joint Petition annulment; $269 for Complaint; $217 for Answer; $56 court fees for a two-signature annulment, or $61 for a one-signature annulment) and cost of process service (if applicable to your annulment case) is additional. Average process service cost if Defendant can be served in person is $125 in Nevada and $160 in other states. Average cost for publication when required is $150. If Defendant lives outside the U.S. and does not sign the documents, process service fees will be higher.
